The music of Retconned would not be entirely out of place in some dance club serving as hideout for some evil spy on TV's Alias. Not sure if that's a complement really. Game Sounds is a mixture of sounds, starting with a semi-techno base, adding lyrics (sometimes) and little hints of what I'm pretty sure is sound effects noises from early Atari and Nintendo video games. The result is bizarre to say the least. I get the feeling that Retconned is trying to be Moby, but there is an underline musical element to Moby that Retconned just isn't trying to produce. Granted he's very handy with a mixing board, which is about the only thing in this album's favour.
