Electrosleep Int'l manages to recall the punk meets heavy metal techno with hip-hop flourish sound that was first played by groups like the Prodigy in the mid-90s. I don't seem to remember The Prodigy or The Chemical Brothers being this loud though, but maybe I'm just getting older. To those either unwilling or unable to listen deeper, there's more than just volume to this album. There's some very good instrumental work here underneath the pounding bass and drums, a light, melodic guitar or piano can be heard in some of the tracks. As to what the band is trying to say, I'm not sure. Judging from the liner notes the common theme seems to be "humanity stinks!" Perfect for the angry 15 year old in all of us.
