In this edition of Random History Lesson we talk about Glass; a 70s band that recorded enough music for several full-length albums, but never released one. Now we are greeted with their second album in five years, but this one is of entirely new material. Glass features the Sherman Brothers: Jeff and Greg working on keyboards and samples while third partner Jerry Cook does guitar and drums. This is a mostly instrumental effort that frequently seems to be one long track split up into sections. The album is definitely an oddity with all its various sounds and musical choices; I can?t say I loved this album, but I can?t say I hated it either. Maybe I just have the ear for what Glass is trying to do. I liked individual pieces on the album, but ultimately it left me wanting.
