Q-Theory is really a guy named Adrian Quayle. Interesting side-note: try Googling ?Q theory? and you?ll not only get Quayle?s website but several mentions of some kind of business model that is also Q theory. I?m sure the two have nothing to do with each other, so let?s discuss the music. Q-Theory is based in Vancouver and thus features a lot of guest vocals on his tracks from various Vancouver-based musicians. Some tracks have the haunting, jazzy vocals of either Rhian Clare Cox or Elise Jene Perret; others have the hip-hop stylings of Josh Chitheka. Tying it all together is Q-Theory?s electronic signature that leaves one thinking that the man is out to become the next Moby, which is okay because Design By Chance definitely has an art of music feel to it. If Dream Warriors, Bjork and Moby got together to make a new band, it might sound something like this.
