A mix of death metal and hardcore punk that just really didn't appeal to me. The low yet screeching growl of the lyrics wore on me very quickly, as did the magic finger guitar riffs and the tidal wave like drum sets. There is an audience for this, I just don't think that it's me. If you like your death metal loud and utterly grim than you've found a kindred spirit in Mistress. The music is very busy, not a moment of empty silence is spared on this disc as the songs swing from one right into the other. I hate to seem so harsh, but as I said I doubt I'm the target audience.
