The Seconds create an experimental blend of pop-rock and fuzz disharmony in ode to such bands as The Electric Eels, DNA, Throbbing Gristle, and Theatre of Eternal Music. The group consists of 3 members playing a simple rock trio assembly of guitar, bass, and drum. The album is aimed at repetition but the very nature of this beast is to create experimental sound crashes. It's just not something that would appeal to a wide audience; only loyal followers. Each song is comprised of the same formulaic elements: a seemingly somber opening which flourishes into a triumph of clashing guitars and cave-rock drums while the members exchange phrases or noises against each other. The band is clever, but this album is simply an experiment and is only for fans of either the genre or the band.
