For an album from an artist called Dr. Rage there's actually very little rage on this collection. Their music is a mix of blues and rock that makes Nickelback sound like the Backstreet Boys, a classic four piece band set up that highlights excellent guitar work-6 string, rhythm and bass. The blues standards are what make Dr. Rage and the Uppercuts sound apart, but it's only the creamy middle for the rock and roll coating on the outside. They create an atmosphere reminiscent of the late 60s and 70s, shades of Bachman Turner Overdrive and Blue Oyster Cult sprang to mind while listening to these 13 tracks. Be sure to snatch up this slice of Canadian pride.
