Warren Zevon was a great influence to a great many, his songwriting skilled unmatched by all but a few. He passed away in 2003 at the relatively young age of 56 from lung cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. The songs are performed by emerging artists from the U.S. and the U.K. like Phil Cody ("Splendid Isolation"), Alpha Cat ("Reconsider Me"), Robbie Rist ("Mr. Bad Example") and Zevon's son Jordan, along with Simone Stevens, performing the previously unheard song "Warm Rain". Zevon's songs are so solid, and so well written, one would have to be profoundly untalented to butcher these numbers. Recommended for Zevon fans or neophytes who want to know what the fuss is about.
