When you literally name your band after God, you better be damn sure that you are the best band in the history of the universe, or at least really deluded into thinking yourself as that way. While I understandably hesitate at giving dEUS such a provocative label, I can see why they'd be rather proud of themselves, this is a really good album after all. A solid rock-pop aesthetic is evoked throughout the album thanks to a strong start with the cut "Bad Timing", subsequent tracks take the sound into funky new wave influenced directions. A fine collection of pop music that reminds us that pop doesn't have to mean bland.
