What we have here is a failure to delineate. For their first album, Cardinale has constructed a one-track album; a track that's, you guessed it, 31 minutes and 13 seconds long. Fortunately the band's talent equals the reach of their ambition. The album/track starts off with atmospheric chords before they drop the hammer on some thunderous guitar riffs and shrieking vocals, before settling down into another stretch of atmospheric guitar work and subtle drums. The pattern continues in variants throughout the balance of the album. While the album kind of repeats itself in places, trying to stretch the bridge between distinct sections, the concept works overall to create a new, unique work.
