If the list of songs on this ten track effort sounds familiar, they probably are. Pat Nevins has put together a compilation of favourites written by Bob Dylan and Neil Young, and he does both men proud with this tribute. Nevins ducks away from the obvious bits from the Dylan and Young catalog in order to highlight some lesser known gems, undoubtedly in order to help avoid any "Who does he think he is syndrome?" While Nevins doesn't entirely evoke the spirit of Dylan or Young, and his voice is distinctly different as well, I think this album is still really worth having because you can tell that Nevins has a deep appreciation and respect for the music and that translates onto the album. Purists may complain, but others can enjoy.
