I wasn't sure what the term "progressive-metal" meant until I heard Section A. From what I can hear, progressive-metal has the same driving guitar riffs, heavy back-up bass and smashing percussion. The music is more reflexive, more focused on storytelling and creating melody. The guitar solos by Torben Enevoldsen are a treat, but the real highlight of this album is vocalist. Andy Engberg, who in different life could have fronted any one of a dozen cookie-cutter emo bands. But the hard rocking band he has backing him up give the man a kind of gravitas. Probably not the album that metal fans are expecting, but they'll undoubtedly start appreciating the nuances.
