Nothing beats an old fashioned rock album, and that's what you get with Molly Hatchet with this re-issue of their 1981 album Take No Prisoners. Think Nickelback, only they were in business for years before Nickelback was a gleam in Chad Kroger's eye. Oh yeah, they're also way better than Nickelback could possibly hope to be. Molly Hatchet combines strong guitar work with a strong beat, similar to the sound produced by Lynyrd Skynyrd, assuming your frame of reference for that band goes beyond "Sweet Home Alabama". Just a really excellent rock album the reinforces the late 70s and very early 80s as a Golden Age for the form.
