I've heard a lot of metal lately, probably a little more than my ears and my neighbours like, but Beecher stands apart. There's a punk aesthetic at work in their music that elevates them above your average blowhard metal outfit, although they work very hard through the length of that album to disprove that assumption. The question, "loud enough for ya?" came up a number of times while listening to this disc, especially in the brief micro-seconds of quiet before the next tidal wave of sound. Unfortunately, Beecher have broken-up since the release of this album. Pity. They may not have been the most original, but their musical mix demanded your attention.
