If there’s one thing to recommend about Vader’s latest, it's that it’s short, real short. The CD lists seven tracks but three of them are intros; so basically there’s only about 14 minutes of actual music on here. This is death metal on a rampage with lyrics delivered through a throaty growl that doesn’t tell you much because you can’t understand what is being said. The music itself covers old ground that’s been walked over several times before: driving drums and ear-shattering guitar riffs that make you say, “This is what going insane must feel like”. I’m not easily impressed by metal on a good day but the sixth track of this disc is a minute and a half of what sounds like bottled water on a rickety sail boat. What’s the Polish word for blasé?
