How do you know you're listening to death metal? Six words: Bestial Mockery's Gospel of the Insane. Or you can take into account the chainsaw-wielding Grim Reaper figure on the cover with the Satanic belt buckle. Maybe it's the song titles; not ready for radio hits like "The Ecstacy of Holocaust" or "Morbid Chainsaw Extermination". The gloomy and atmospheric guitar work is pretty descent and the throaty growl of the lyrics is a refreshing change from the screaming , incoherent words of you're typical extreme metal outfit. Bestial Mockery seems to have a genuine desire to make loud music, not just loud noise. And for that, I salute them.
