When you call your album Genocide, you're rather blatantly saying that this is an album of DEATH metal-to the extreme. I guess there's nothing much else to do in Norway but rock hard. I had never heard Bloodthorn before but apparently the band used to have a female lead singer until a shake-up in the band's line-up that created a four and a half year delay between discs. It's too bad because female vocals would have really gave this effort and original and unique angle upon which to recommend it. Otherwise its just the same old, same old. Metal fans should note that Bloodthorn's sheer volume sets them apart from others.
