Personally I think it’d be hilarious if the endorsements by the famous political figures on J’s Basement MySpace page were true, but if you read them it just goes to show you the band’s saucy attitude. So what’s their sound? Why plain, simple hard rock of course, the type a band might make in their basement if all they had were a guitar and a dream. Generally, I find the gentlemen of the Basement to be very proficient players, but I really don’t feel their music, nor does it really stand out from the pack. Playing well isn’t easy, but setting yourself apart from the pack and standing above the rest is even harder. My advice to the Basement crew is to keep on playin’; you will find your unique niche.
