The Peacocks' MySpace page lists them as a Psychobilly/Punk/Rockabilly band; other sources economize and just call them Punkabilly. They're a fifteen year-old band out of Zurich, Switzerland, that's played with the likes of Bad Religion, NOFX, and Rancid to name a few—and judging by Greatest Hits & Misses, I'm sure they fit in just fine. Lead vocals by Hasu Langhart give The Peacocks a bit of a Less Than Jake sound. Their catchy tunes might have a wider pop than punk-appeal; I think The Peacocks are less “punk” than they are “abilly”—but the influence is definitely there.
The Peacocks are Hasu Langhart (vocals, guitar), Simon Langhart (double bass), and Jurg Luder (drums).
