Blindly listening to Jeff Phillips's latest release, Handful of Gimmes, what you hear is a well-crafted album of 10 easy-to-listen-to acoustic tracks. Knowing Phillips's story may change the way you hear his music, however. Phillips was born with no movement in his left hand, but quickly discovered his left hand was perfectly fine for strumming on a guitar. His love of music helped him persevere through the Performance and Composition program at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. The single “I Fall Down” has a catchy chorus and demonstrates Phillips' capabilities as a sincere and authentic singer/sonwriter.
