Remember lines from those old audio cassettes that came with an illustrated children's book? You know, lines like “Follow the bouncing ball!”, or better yet, “Turn the page when you hear the beep”? Ingeniously inlaid as the prologue, MAE comparatively sets the tone to their Special Edition of The Everglow with this relatable technique. The youthful play puts a smile on your face as you follow along to the cool illustrations inside the sleeve of the disc.



Beautifully put together visually and mixed to perfection this Special Edition of The Everglow has opened my eyes and ears to MAE's unique and well thought-out vision as artists. Dave Elkins, Zach Gehring, Mark Padgett, Jacob Marshall and Rob Sweitzer are the band members who make up the band's compliment. Opening for Reliant K has been their occupation as of late and the crowd is beginning to recognize the five piece whose first single is “Suspension”.



“Prologue” is a testament to the band's uniqueness which comes from the very heart of their inception and member integrity which will be the key ingredient to see them go far. Bookended by “Epilogue”, The Everglow is a complete work with nothing left untied. For those of you who are colour theory buffs, the disc's cover is overlaid with a green canvas that represents the intelligence of the project as a whole. Green is a color people associate with being one of intelligence.



Following the bouncing ball with intelligence in hand, this compilation is sure to get the heart pumping and your mouth moving to mouth the words and sing a long. MAE-be you will even get up and dance! I know I will be, since this disc is definitely one for my collection.
