Funky mental flare is what we start out with as Zero Hour begins this set, as heavy and chaotic chords are laid down on the guitar. Do not feel misled though, as the band’s strangely hypnotic rhythm lulls you without too terrible an effort. Zero Hour has seen its fair share of chances in both line-up and musical intention, but from the sound of the music on this disc you just might think that they’ve been playing these tunes for the length of their career. While the band can certainly play it hard, as proven through performance on many of the tracks, I found the real soul in songs like “Face the Fear”, and the instrumental, “Embrace”.
Face the Fear
The Falcon's Cry
Embrace
Specs of Pictures Burnt Beyond
Zero Hour
I Am Here
