San Francisco-based band Erase Errata describes themselves as Indie/Electro/Punk. Good enough. I think this description is pretty accurate, and I'll tell you why. Though I've heard a lot about this band's improvisational tendencies, it's good to know that they can also lay it down in the studio. Nightlife is the third album by the band—Jenny Hoyston (guitar, singing), Ellie Erickson (bass), and Bianca Sparta (drums)—whose members are anything but rookies when it comes to the being-in-a-band way of life. “Tax Dollar” is a definite standout off this album; while listening to “Rider”, I definitely heard a bit of a Pixies influence. Apart from that, Erase Errata's sound is all their own—tough, smart, feminine, ha!
