Being true rock and rollers, The Eagles of Death Metal released their third brilliant old school rock album last October and from what I hear on this disc, band members Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme must have had a blast making this album
With a garage-band feel, including rough-edged dance rock and roll, the two of them have made an album worth labelling old school fun boogie music. You can definitely hear it in the lyrics, with song titles that tell it all such as “(I Used to Couldn’t Dance) Tight Pants”, “Cheap Thrills”, and “Prissy Prancin”, Hughes and Homme show that they know how to have good time play with lyrics and music.
If you are new to Eagles of Death Metal you won’t be at all disappointed. They show a lot of freedom and variety in their music. Their music is danceable (I certainly know that this music makes me want to dance every time I listen to it) and you won’t be able to resist listening to it over and over again. The guitar licks and drum beats are catchy and make you want to move your butt.
