It’s taken over three years for The New Cities to perfect their punk-pop sound, but now they’re on the road and promoting their first full-length album, Lost in City Lights, to Canada.

Hailing from Quebec, these boys bring a certain Canadian “Je ne sais quoi” the stage. This isn’t surprising since Greg Nori, former Treble Charger frontman and now record producer (Sum 41, Hedley) teamed up with the band to create eleven lively songs and a must-listen-to mix.

Fans of Blink 182, Ataris, and Simple Plan will appreciate the catchy and charged sound that The New Cities have been pumping out. Their fast, hard-edged music and punk-rock roots bring a formula that has captivated generations for decades. Using up-tempo rhythms, Lost in City Lights is an ideal album for a house party, beach party or road trip.

Targeting their music toward a younger generation, The New Cities have already received airplay on the hit television show Gossip Girl. With lyrics like, “Corruption in the streets. I’m terrified. The cracks in the windows are losing heat. So much I’ve seen. The more I try, it keeps getting harder to believe. So much confusion, disillusion, of what we’re suppose to be,” the band will quickly connect to youth on a more intimate level.

Alongside their personable lyrics, the electric sound of Lost in City Lights will pick you up and you may even find yourself “air-guitaring” to a few tracks in front of the mirror!
