Lily Allen has been making the front pages of the England papers since this album has been released. She speaks her mind and does not seem to have much of a care in the world when it comes to being a public icon. Miss Allen knows how to have fun with her music, every song is brilliantly catchy and has a way of sticking in your head.
From “Not Fair,” a love song about unfair circumstances, to “F*** You,” a song about people’s points of views, and the insensitivity that can come from them, Miss Allen knows how to make a song a story. She takes a lived moment in time and her opinion of it and puts it into a wonderful and catchy pop song to grab the attention of the listener and to make her point.
Miss Allen has been on tour all over the world and certainly has a way of having fun on the road with her fans. She has been utilizing the World Wide Web and one of its popular sites, Twitter. She hides tickets to her show wherever she is touring and puts up clues on twitter and just sits and waits for someone to show up. She mentioned once on Jimmy Kimmel Live that she sent out a clue once and within 20 seconds she sees someone come out and find the tickets. She admitted that she has a lot of fun playing this little game.
Allen started out by putting up her songs on MySpace and has now released this beautifully put together album with 12 fun and catchy tracks. The album can be compared to Feist or Katy Perry.
