This is the second album released by The Kooks, peaking at Number One on United Kingdom charts, but I feel that it deserves much more than that. Released on April 15th, Konk’s indy punk/alternative sound brings the jive back. Formed in Brighton, England in 2004 and consisting of members: Luke Pritchard, Hugh Harris, Paul Garred, and Dan Logan, this group has a lot to look forward too. The subtle accent of lead vocalist Pritchard gives the band a truly unique sound, almost a Beatles-type vibe. This picky group has over 50 songs written and ready to record but are very selective when it comes to recording them on an album, and rightfully so as they came out with a masterpiece. RAK is the second part to this album, a limited edition two-disc version of Konk containing nine extra tracks. Listen for these guys on the radio, they have some brilliant lyrics and beats, and will likely be on the waves soon.
