Released February 2008, Morcheeba’s changing faces give birth to a new hit to add to the list. Although the lovely Daisy has been lost and will be missed, the Godfrey brothers just don’t give up and have reached a new level with the help of various artists inclusive of Thomas Dybdahl from Norway, brilliant rapper and human beat boxer Cool Calm Pete, and of course Manda, a French singer who as it states on their Myspace contacted the brothers through Myspace, stating that it was her dream to sing with Morcheeba to create the new album. From dance, to electronic, to funk, to country, to poppy vibes, this album keeps the listener interested. The Godfrey brothers have become more open minded and accepting of different sounds over the years and it shows with this hit. The experimental effects and the collaborations of each and every artist coming together to create a masterful creation that sends the listener on a hike into the unknown, all the sounds combined create an impressive atmosphere and fluidity that I never thought possible. From the melodic and sultry ‘Enjoy the Ride’ featuring Judie Tzuke to the beats of ‘One Love Karma’ featuring Cool Calm Pete to the blood pumping funkadelic melody of ‘Blue Chair’, which ends off with kittens purring at the end, to the country licks of ‘Sleep on it Tonight’ featuring Thomas Dybdahl, this album makes a glass window look like a mirror. The brother’s talents shine through in this album, showing that they can do anything if they put their mind to it.
