Marvel Previews Next Big Story: Seige

The internets have been all alight lately with news from Marvel as they count down the days till Siege, the latest chapter in Brian Michael Bendis’ magnum opus that started in Avengers: Disassembled and carried on through Secret Invasion and is currently running in Dark Reign. Siege will begin with the one-shot Siege: The Cabal on December 2nd, and will pick up in January 2010 with the four-part Siege miniseries written by Bendis with art by Oliver Coipel Seige will then crossover through several ongoing series like The Avengers titles, Dark Wolverine, Thor and Secret Warriors.
Following up on these three pieces of art, Marvel also released a video trailer today. The storyline is under wraps, so not a lot is revealed. The plot, so far as we know, is about Norman Osborn’s attempt to remove Asgard from American soil and in his attempt laying siege to the floating Norse kingdom. The story will also precipitate, supposedly, the return of the Big Three – Captain America, Iron Man and Thor – to the top of the Marvel Mountain.
