Recently released on July 8th this year another set of Beck’s brilliant songs all bundled into an album that you can listen to over and over again. With singles Chemtrails which was released shortly before the album on June 23rd, and Gamma Ray which was also released earlier this year, this album has everything from country to rock and roll to electronic licks and chimes. A little bit of everything musical is included with Beck’s twists and turns giving the listener something new at every turn of the corner. Cat Power even lends an artistic helping hand in this new album with two songs, Orphans and Walls, which again gives the album even more of a must have appeal for her fans and Beck’s fans alike. I can’t stop listening to this album the guitar licks are addictive and the lyrics are the kind that I feel the need to memorize. The album has meaning and gives a specific feeling of calmness and just makes you want to go through the journey of listening again and again. This one is one for the collection. Pick up the album though, it’s one that you need to experience everything about, not just the surface and ease of downloading, this one is a need to own album.
