How long have you been together?
Dano:
We started jamming together in 2001.
And what were you doing before that?
Dano:
At one time or another we all worked at the same audio production facility in our hometown. That’s where we started the band and began rehearsing.
Paul:
Actually, I called up a men seeking men add and Dano was the one who answered…It all kind of just went from there. (*Collective laugh*)
Considering that you all have different influences how does it influence your music?
Paul:
I think it is a good thing because we draw from each other…That allows for us not to try to do anything specific. We just get together and write so what comes out of it is the result of those different backgrounds.
Are you guys looking to get signed or support from a label at the moment?
Dano:
Of course. We love making music and we would like to keep doing that by getting a record out they’re with the proper support.
Idealistically, what would you like from a label?
Pat:
Mainly, allow us to keep our creativity and let us do what we want to do yet still support us enough to get us out there and give us a backing.
Have you been receiving any support from any industry or other individuals?
Paul:
We had Factor help us out on our first demos... Local promoters.
Dano:
Extreme music series have been awesome to us. This is our second year playing wakestock and we’ll be happy to come back next year.
Have you inherited any crazy fans as of yet?
Dano:
Our craziest fans are other bands. There are certain bands you meet on the road that you get along with right away and end up just causing mayhem together….it’s good times.
Would you guys classify your music under any specific genre?
Dano:
That is for everybody else to judge really.
Pat:
We make the music and we want everybody else to decide.
Paul:
In a nutshell, it’s rock. Its not classical, it’s not jazz. Us describing our music is going to take away from the people experiencing it with an open mind.
What is the scene like in your hometown, Newmarket?
Dano:
We joke around by calling it No-Market because of the lack of gig venues.
Paul:
There is a lot of talent packed into our small town. Clarknova came from there, The Salads came from there, and a lot of great unknown bands.
What is the Kyle?
Me Plus 12 of these (Raises his frosty can of beer and says “Wheeew”)
The Kyle is a state of mind
The Kyle is an institution really
It is not a person or a place; it is a state of mind
It is an enigma!
WHEEEEEW!
What will you guys be up to for the remainder of the year?
Paul:
We will be getting back into the studio and playing some shows.
Pat:
We hope to tour in September and October and than continue working on the album.
Dano:
Like any REAL band, record company or no record company we are getting it done in the hopes of the right people taking notice.
