This is Keeley and I vocalize and string the guitar.
Where are you from, originally?
Richmond, VA
Is there any story behind the name? 'Engine Down' seems to have some sort of meaning but I just can't quite grasp it.
No. just words. keep it vague and you can do anything.
Recently, you moved to lookout records for your latest album. Was there a specific reason why you did this?
Better distro. Our records are finally in stores. Seems important.
You seem to always be on tour. Which country did you enjoy visiting the most?
Spain. They really seem to enjoy life.
From the new album, which song are you most proud of?
"And Done". It was the first song we wrote and the most exciting to see the progression.
At the moment, which bands do you like most?
Blonde Redhead, NIN.
Do you feel that there have been any heavy influences are on your work? If so, by whom?
Barkmarket is probably the biggest heavy influence. There experimentation with tone and beats is class A.
What will you be doing after you finish your current tour?
Writing more tunes with Cornbread, breaking up the band, swimming with my fiance, designing album artwork.

Not really because you just made that word up. What the hell is that?
